Honda will be very busy at this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30, 2013, entering ten cars in nine classes at the iconic race, as well as singing on to be an influential corporate sponsor for the event.

Part of the company's renewed interest in racing comes both from Honda R&D and Honda North America and includes such vehicles as the Honda CR450R and two Honda CRF250R motorcycles, a TRX4450 ATV, a Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle, a first-generation Acura NSX, an Acura TL SH-AWD, a Honda Fit EV, and a Honda-CR-Z. One of these entries will be piloted by IndyCar driver Simon Pagenaud of Schmidt Hamilton HP Motorsports. Along with these models, LoveFab will again be there will its new Acura NSX-based Enviate, as a privateer entry.

Of course, this isn't Honda's first run up the mountain. In 1994 and 1999, the brand brought record setting EVs, and in 2012, the brand bought impressive high-powered gear. This time, however, might be the brand's most outstanding.

Mike Accavitti, Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations for American Honda, explains, "Pikes Peak presents us with a unique opportunity to showcase Honda's diverse product lineup and to energize Honda fans around world, as we work to further strengthen Honda's presence in racing at all levels. Our associates will be working hard between now and Race Day to prepare this diverse field of race vehicles and showcase the Honda racing spirit."1
