After all, when you embark on your end-of-summer roadtrip, you'd rather save your money for nice dinners out or a fun side excursion instead of spending it all at the gas pump. Plus, we're sure you want to make sure your car is eco-friendly, too. Luckily, we have some good news for our blog readers about how Honda is doing with its EPA fuel ratings.
TrueCar is an automotive pricing information and analysis company, and it recently released a study on June fuel economy numbers. The report shows that industry-wide, fuel economy is doing better than ever, with TrueMPGTM for light vehicles holding true at 23.7 miles per gallon, where it's stood for the last several months. This means that automakers are doing a better part of selling cars with improved fuel economy, and they're doing it at a rate that is even better than last year, as this rating is 0.7 miles per gallon more than last year's.
So what does this mean for the Japanese automaker? Well, TrueCars also focused on the relative fuel economy for specific brands, and Honda was one of three top brands across the industry to report outstanding relative fuel economy numbers.
We can't say we're surprised by these results, as the brand has been fine-tuning its powertrains and incorporating Earth Dreams Technology into more of its new model lineup, increasing fuel economy throughout its fleet. We invite you to visit our dealership today to take one of these powerful yet efficient cars out for a test drive today.
