It probably comes as no surprise, but we here at Lithia Honda of Medford have nothing but good things to say about these new and used cars of ours. Part of it just comes with the job title, but as car owners ourselves, we just wouldn't feel right lying to you about one of the biggest financial investments you'll ever make in life.
And while we have yet to get acquainted with the Honda Fit Hybrid, something tells us it won't fail to impress.
Just recently, a panel of automotive journalists and industry experts in the Land of the Rising Sun announced the winner of their 2013-2014 Japan Car of the Year award. Now in its 33rd year, the award is a celebration of the model-year vehicle that best meets the needs of Japanese drivers and their lifestyles. As of late, the voting jury has been giving their national award to more eco-friendly vehicles in an effort to continue to reduce Japan's carbon footprint.
So when we recently caught wind that our very own Honda Fit Hybrid drove off with top honors at this year's ceremony, the pride was overwhelming. As for why it won, the jury cited its small-car concept styling, roomy interior and Honda's Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive system that helps make it the most fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle in Japan.
Unfortunately, we're still waiting to hear if and when the Honda Fit Hybrid will be making its way to our dealership here in Medford, OR. Until we hear more, feel free to tide yourself over with a test drive in the 2013 Honda Fit EV today. Take it from us: Japan is onto something here.
