Racers, start your engines!  In Lane #1, we have the sporty, efficient, and crowd pleasing racing variant of the Honda Civic, and in the other lane, we have the Mean Mower, a powerful machine that makes all grass, from crab to Kentucky blue, shake with fear.  Who will cross the finish line first?!

This scenario may seem a little silly, but fans got to cheer on the vehicle of their choice at a recent race put on by Auto Express.

Putting a lawn mower up against a race car may not seem very fair, but this isn't your average green lawn equipment.  The Mean Mower has a 109-horsepower 1.0-liter Honda VTR Firestorm engine, which is the same power source that the automaker puts in its speedy motorbikes, and can go from zero-to-sixty in a shocking four seconds.  Just think, if you had this machine in your garage, your kids would be fighting over whose turn it is to mow the lawn!

As you can imagine, the Civic racer was a little more powerful, boasting an amped up 2.0-liter engine that produced more than 300 hp.  It accelerated a lot faster than the Mean Mower, too, so in the race, the mower was given a 40 second head start.

What were the results?  We won't ruin them for you!  Watch the race for yourself: http://youtu.be/AK9g8qIAW-E.

The vehicles that we have for sale here at Lithia Honda in Medford are a little more practical for every day driving than a race car or a lawn mower, and if you're interested in learning more about our selection of new cars, stop by our Medford, OR dealership today.
