If so, you’re likely aware that that this year marks the 35th anniversary of Honda Motor Company sponsoring The Honda Classic. The auto manufacturer announced recently that it will extend its title sponsorship of the PGA TOUR for the next five years.
As a golf lover, you’re certainly not alone. In fact, the PGA of America is the largest sports organization in the world. It is made up of 28,000 golf professionals, both men and women. These individuals, all of whom are experts, are dedicated to teaching the game of golf and further expanding it. The PGA of America was founded in 1916 and significantly increased visibility of the sport through spectator events.
The Champion Course, designed in the early 1980s, underwent redesigns in both 1990 and 2002. During the 1990 redesign, Nicklaus Design created what’s referred to as “The Bear Trap,” an area of the course which remains among the most difficult three-hole stretch on the PGA TOUR.
